Andreas Fjord Larsen – Chair EPICUR Student Board

As president, how would you strengthen the Student Board within EPICUR?

Our current focus is to engage the institutions and representatives in the student board as well as locally. By doing this we hope to strengthen the Student Board and its impact within EPICUR.

In addition, the board is working on the focus for the student involvement and how to better ensure that the board has a qualified voice in the forums we are invited to.

We see it very much as a collaboratory process that requires involvement and buy-in from the whole board, and ensuring that and the involvement/participation from all institutions are my current focus.

What does EPICUR bring to its students?

EPICUR is a unique opportunity for the students at our member-organizations to in a seamless and easy way to explore other cultures and learning opportunities than normally offered at their own universities. As Erasmus before it, the university alliances can help bring us closer as a European collective, and foster undertanding across borders.

In addition the student can gain experiences for life on short exchanges like summer courses with easy access to funding/financing

What’s your best university memory?

My semester abroad in Warszawa, where I worked at and with the embassy and experienced an international milieu of learning, understanding, and collaboration.
