EPICUR local stakeholders are individuals, social groups, or legal entities (such as start-ups) or businesses, associations, local authorities, or support agencies) based within the local ecosystem of the member university who hold an interest in the outcomes of a single member of the alliance or who wish to take a more active role in the activities. Examples of local stakeholders targeted by EPICUR are academia, students, administrative staff, alumni, public authorities and policymakers, business, and industry, as well as civil society organisations. All EPICUR members are engaged in partnerships with local stakeholders, including NGOs and governmental agencies, as well as private enterprises in their geographical vicinity.
During the pilot phase, EPICUR has worked with 39 local stakeholders in the following activities.
-
- The EPICUR Entrepreneurial Lab, contributing to an innovative learning format on Entrepreneurship either as Educator or Mentor
- Service learning & research internships, providing internship places at various civil society & research organisations
- EPIC Missions, providing mission topics for student as an innovative demonstration of challenge-based education
- The EPICUR Forum to engage in fruitful discussions with their counterparts
Through actively engaging with local stakeholders from our regions, the EPICUR Alliance truly contributes to unifying its regions and to a better exchange of good practices across Europe. It should be further noticed at this point that the local stakeholders that we mentioned above can also become associated partners at a later stage, should they wish to contribute to a specific task on an alliance level which will be determined according to our tailor made and step wise approach. The EPICUR alliance also does not exclude to engage with other local stakeholders or associated partners at a later stage since we wish to fulfil our role as a platform connecting initiatives from our regions with other counterparts in Europe.
