The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on current activities and joint future plans for innovative teaching, research, and mobility within the EPICUR Alliance.
Institutional Exchange at the Leadership and Coordination Level
The Strasbourg delegation was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Melanie Arndt, Vice Rector for Internationalisation and Sustainability at the University of Freiburg. Among the guests from Strasbourg was Prof. Dr. Jean-Marc Planeix, Vice President for International Partnerships and strategic coordinator of EPICUR.
Also in attendance were Alison Garnier-Rivers, Pascale Nachez, and Charlotte Langowski, who represent key coordination roles within the EPICUR Alliance.
Looking Ahead Together

The discussions focused on shared EPICUR priorities, such as sustainable transformation, European values, and interdisciplinary approaches to learning and teaching. Participants explored ways to further strengthen collaboration, including new joint initiatives and mobility opportunities for students and staff.
Beyond the formal agenda, the visit emphasized the importance of personal interaction in building trust and advancing joint projects. Encounters like this continue to play a key role in shaping EPICUR as a truly collaborative European university alliance.
