EPICUR hosts FOREU4ALL transversal workshop at the European Parliament in Strasbourg

On the 2nd and 3rd of June 2026, EPICUR will host the third transversal workshop of the FOREU4ALL Community of Practice at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

Bringing together around 140 participants onsite, alongside additional online attendees from across Europe, the event will position Strasbourg at the heart of discussions on the future of European Universities and their role in strengthening engagement, inclusion, and a shared European identity.

Under the theme “From Campuses to Communities: enhancing engagement and sense of belonging in European Universities”, the workshop will explore how alliances can build stronger connections both within their campuses and with society at large. Led by the Community Engagement and Communication & Dissemination topical groups, the programme will promote the exchange of good practices and collaborative approaches to increase the visibility and societal impact of European University alliances.

As host of the event, EPICUR reaffirms its commitment to shaping innovative, student-centred, and socially engaged European higher education. The workshop will bring together communication professionals, community engagement experts, students, and alliance representatives to address key topics such as alliance identity and values, mobility barriers, inclusion, local visibility, and student participation.

The programme includes plenary discussions, collaborative breakout workshops, a keynote panel, a poster session, and a student-led roundtable entitled “Hearing the Students’ Voice”, highlighting the importance of student perspectives in the development of European Universities.

This event is part of a broader cycle of eight FOREU4ALL transversal workshops organised between 2025 and 2028 to strengthen cooperation, encourage innovation, and foster knowledge-sharing across the 73 European University alliances. Through its active role in hosting and contributing to these discussions, EPICUR continues to position itself as a key actor in the European higher education landscape.
