Meet Stefano Torresi, PhD researcher at the University of Strasbourg
Stefano Torresi, is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Strasbourg, following the completion of his PhD at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU, Spain), where his research focused on renewable materials. After earning his doctorate, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Argentina before returning to Europe. His research focuses on the development of greener, more sustainable, and recyclable plastic materials, contributing to the advancement of a circular economy through innovative polymer science.
Having conducted research across several countries and academic environments, he values international collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches to scientific challenges. As a member of the EPICUR Early Career Researchers Board, he aims to strengthen scientific collaboration across the alliance, promote mobility opportunities for researchers and foster an inclusive research community that encourages the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and innovation.
