Meet Arman Martirosyan, PhD candidate at the University of Strasbourg, joint supervision at Sorbonne University in Paris

Arman Martirosyan is completing a PhD program in European and West Asian histories. As a representative of PhD students at the Doctoral School of Humanities and the International Doctoral Programme, as well as a PhD Ambassador of Eucor – The European Campus between France, Germany, and Switzerland, he has the opportunity to discuss with researchers from diverse disciplinary backgrounds.

During the 2026 European Student Assembly, held at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, he coordinated a panel titled “Educating without borders: How can the EU support universities in fostering interdisciplinarity?” The goal was to explore the needs and challenges of students and young researchers in Europe, especially in preparation for the next Erasmus+ cycle. At the EPICUR ECR Board, Arman hopes to share his experiences and represent the interests of young researchers in France and Europe.
