EDL-STEP
EDL-STEP is an Erasmus+ project in which nine universities from the EPICUR, YUFE and ECIU European University Alliances design, pilot and evaluate joint programmes aligned with the European Degree Label.

About the project
EDL-STEP builds on FOCI, the 2023 policy experimentation project in which the same three alliances helped shape the criteria for the European Degree Label.
The consortium will now move from policy to implementation: adapting existing joint programmes, developing new ones and testing flexible, scalable models. The results will support the future rollout of the European Degree across Europe.

Investing in students
A distinguishing feature of EDL-STEP is its commitment to students. At least 50% of the total project budget will go to student support, combining direct financial assistance with tailored support services.
The aim is to reduce financial and practical barriers, so that more students can take part in transnational learning and jointly delivered European programmes.
A broad European coalition
EDL-STEP is backed by associated partners from quality assurance, accreditation, student organisations, university alliances and higher education policy, including EQAR, the Erasmus Student Network, the European Students’Union and Eucor – The European Campus.
Their expertise in quality assurance, student engagement and policy complements the universities’ work and creates links beyond the European Union.
