Michalina Krakowiak
Meet Michalina Krakowiak, researcher at Institut Charles-Sadron, Germany and member of our Early Career Research Board. She is involved in EPICUR since 2022.
Meet Michalina Krakowiak, PhD Student in Biology at AMU
Michalina’s project is about studying tardigrades, described as the most resilient animals on Earth. Her goal is to discover the molecular mechanism of anhydrobiosis, as well as the epigenetic aspect of this phenomenon. Her studies are funded by two National Centres for Science grants and allow for work in two wonderful teams of environmental and molecular biologists.
The work in multiple University boards, clubs and teams allowed Michalina to experience many aspect of science management. As the Early Career Board member, she would like to contirbute to the improvement of interdisciplinary and intercultural cooperation of early career researchers in Europe.
