Meet Ana Belen Amado Rey, Engineer at UFR
As an engineer at the technical University of Freiburg, Ana Belen Amado Rey designs and develops new medical devices to assess physiological parameters in the arteries and prevent cardiovascular diseases. She is currently doing her habilitation within the Margarethe-von-Wrangell Program from Baden-Wuertemberg. She is also a member of the COST Action VascAgeNet, a multidisciplinary group where the consensus of engineers, doctors, biologists and pharmacologists deal with the standardisation and challenges on how to measure the vascular age of our arteries.
Now as a member of the EPICUR ECR Board, she aims to enforce international research and collaboration between intercontinental universities, and create new didactic tools to improve teaching and motivate and engage students to be aware of the actual issues in our society.
